Hancock Seaborne

Legacy site simplification

When Hancock Seaborne's existing hosting provider was acquired, the replacement provider proposed a roughly $10,000 modernisation project to address security concerns.

Rather than rebuilding the site around a CMS it no longer needed, I simplified the architecture.

I migrated the domain and site, converted the existing content to static pages, removed the CMS dependency and deployed the site to Netlify.

The result was a much simpler, lower-maintenance setup that avoided the quoted modernisation cost and effectively removed ongoing hosting costs. I now look after the hosting setup.
